Ονομάζομαι Μυρτώ Ανδρώνη και είμαι προπτυχιακή φοιτήτρια του τμήματος Κοινωνικής Ανθρωπολογίας του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Η σελίδα “An Anthropological Point of View” δημιουργήθηκε κατόπιν ενδελεχούς έρευνας και μελέτης του ανθρωπολογικού πεδίου, ένα πεδίο νεογνό εν αντιθέσει με τις υπόλοιπες ανθρωπιστικές και κοινωνικές επιστήμες. Εξετάζοντας τον άνθρωπο υπό το πρίσμα όλων εκείνων των θεσμών και των λειτουργιών που τον περικλείουν, η Ανθρωπολογία δίνει έμφαση στα χαρακτηριστικά της ανθρωπότητας που δεν είναι εμφανή, σε κοινωνικές ομάδες του κόσμου που δεν είναι γνώριμες ή δημοφιλείς στον υπόλοιπο πλανήτη, στις πρακτικές και λειτουργίες μιας κοινωνίας που είναι δύσκολο να ευρεθούν, στις αναλύσεις της τέχνης υπό την σκέπη του διαφορετικού και της ετερότητας, στα γνωρίσματα του ανθρώπινου νου που με βάση αυτά ο κόσμος έχει διαμορφωθεί όπως τον ξέρουμε σήμερα. Στην προσπάθεια κατανόησης όλων των προαναφερθέντων – συν ακόμα περισσότερων – σας καλώς ορίζω στο ατελείωτο ταξίδι της Ανθρωπολογίας μέσα από τα δικά μου μάτια, όπως με ταξίδεψε η ίδια.

My name is Myrto Androni and I am an undergraduate student of the Department of Social Anthropology of the Panteion University of Athens. The website “An Anthropological Point of View” was created after a thorough research and study of the anthropological field, a new field in contrast to the other humanities and social sciences. Examining mankind in the light of all those institutions and functions that enclose him, Anthropology emphasizes the characteristics of humanity that are not obvious, social groups of the world that are not familiar or popular to the rest of the planet, the practices and functions of a society that are hard to find, the analyses of art under the shadow of difference and otherness, the traits of the human mind by which the world has been shaped as we know it today. In the effort to understand all of the above – plus more – I welcome you on the endless journey of Anthropology through my own eyes, as it has taken me.
